The challenge was to write about the last day of work...so I wrote about the last day of building the pyramids, and of the modern day archeologist who discovered the golden cap originally place on top of one of them. It hasn't happened as far as I know- bbut it makes for a good story!

Sun glowing red in a fading sky
I watch it sink as my work burns dry

Bright eye of Horus is gazeing down
On the final piece, it’s a golden crown
To cap all our work see the spire point high

Bright golden point meant to crown a tomb
Missing for over 5 thousand years
Stolen and melted, it was assumed
